Bob Henley has served as the Senior Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood for the past eight years.  Prior to coming to the Wood River Valley, Bob was the Senior Pastor and Head of Staff of the Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita, Kansas, and served as an Associate Pastor on the staff of the Bel Air Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, California.  Bob is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California where he also pursued his doctoral studies.

Together with his wife Jane, a graduate of Fuller Seminary’s School of Psychology and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Idaho, they have spoken at men’s and women’s conferences and led marriage renewal weekends across the country.  Their ministry together and separately has taken them into more than thirty-five countries, leading study tours and working in short term missions.

Bob has served as a trustee of the Outreach Foundation of the Presbyterian Church, as a board member and Vice-chair of the Board of Trustees of Sterling College.  He has served as the Moderator and Council Chair of Kendall Presbytery, and twice been a minister commissioner to the General Assembly.  He currently serves as a member of the Community Board of the St. Luke’s Wood River Hospital.

The Henleys are the parents of three married children and have four grandchildren who live in Colorado, Sweden and Washington.  As often as possible they can be found with their two yellow labs pursuing their love of recreation in the mountains and on the streams and trails in God’s incredible creation.
