Karis possess experience in leadership with multiple genres of worship music.  She has broad keyboard and vocal experience in cutting edge worship bands in Denver and Seattle.  She has been working with the choir at Wedgewood Presbyterian Church in Seattle to develop her choral conducting skills.  She loves arranging and developing musical gifts within a church community.  She has a background as a children’s music teacher in a Montessori school, overseeing all aspects of the program.  She has taught piano in a private music academy in Denver, and served as Children’s Ministry Director at the Quest Church in Seattle for two years.   Karis has spiritual vitality and her overall vision for worship at PCBW with the Choir, Worship Band and Children. 

Karis is a graduate of Wheaton College, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Christian Education and graduated with honors.  She is married to Randy Kemp, an information specialist with iScale, and a PhD candidate at the University of Washington.  They are the parents of Elias and Bennett.
