Sunday Announcements

Hanging of the Greens and Chili Christmas: On next Sunday, December 2, we will have (1) one combined worship service at 9:30 AM. Following the worship, we will share in the joyful work of decorating our church home for the Advent and Christmas season. There are jobs for hands of every size. Then we'll have a Chili Christmas Lunch following. There will be a chili for every taste from the mildest to "try it if you dare!" You are asked to bring either a salad, cornbread or dessert to share, enough for your family plus ten more people. Need volunteers to help with set up/clean up as well. Sign-up at The Connection booth today!

Christmas Eve Services: We will have two services on Christmas Eve this year. The first will be our Family Christmas Service at 4:00 PM in the sanctuary. This is for children and children at heart, in a wonderful re-telling of the Christmas story and live nativity. Then we will have a traditional service of Carols and Readings at 8:00 PM. Both are with congregational candle lighting.

Children’s Ministry: We have lots of upcoming events for kids and families. If you are interested in being a part of any or all, please email or call Sarah Jones at 208.622.0548; sarahjones@pcbw.org.

The Connection: Are you looking to get connected at PCBW? Visit “The Connection” booth at the end of the service to find out about volunteer opportunities and ministries at our church. First time guests, please bring your guest cards to The Connection to receive a free gift. We look forward to connecting with you!

Big Wood School Help Wanted: Big Wood School is looking for full time and part time helpers. If you are great with kids, have a dynamic, energetic personality, and work well with others, please contact Miss Kim at 208.726.9053. Must pass and complete background check and supply references.

Kettle Ringers Wanted: The Salvation Army will be back at the kettle this year in front of Atkinson's Market in Ketchum and a stand-alone kettle at the Starbucks Visitor’s Booth. They will kick off the weekend before Thanksgiving (November 17) and go until the afternoon of Christmas Eve. Funds raised in the kettle last year have been steadily meeting needs in the Wood River Valley. If you have questions or to signup, text/call Richard Brown at 713.818.6856.

Greeters and Ushers Needed: Greeting and Ushering are important services performed by everyone with a desire to make our congregation warm and welcoming for visitors and members. All that is required is a friendly smile and 15-20 minutes of your time one Sunday a quarter. If you’re interested in becoming a greeter for the 9:30 service, please contact Cheri Watson at 206.947.0625; sunvalleywatsons@hotmail.com. To become an Usher contact Ed Northen at 208.788.3618; apilgram@cox.net.

Sunday School Checkin: Safety First! With the growing number of children and many visitors entering our doors, children’s ministry is implementing a new check-in system in an effort to provide a safe environment for children to learn, grow, and experience God’s love. Parents please check-in your children at the ‘Kids Checkin’ kiosk in the Outer Court Gallery.

Coffee Hour Volunteers: We always need helpers with coffee hour. Please contact Cindy Kirk at cindykirk@kirk-group.com or 208.309.2559 to help serve coffee and donuts on Sunday morning.
