Music

We invite you to join us in musical celebration!

Tuesday Night Music Club - 2nd and 4th Tuesdays

MUSIC CLUB

Join Chip Booth, (guitarist in the CBW praise band) and others members of the band on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month at the Commons in Hailey for an evening of fun and music as we learn together how to play popular songs, folk music and more.

Our goal is to help musicians at various levels in their musical journey learn how to play together as a group, focusing on listening, timing and playing parts. All instruments as well as singers are welcome. Participants are encouraged to suggest songs they would like to play.

Worship and the Arts

Get Involved

If you would like to be a part of the worship ministry at CBW we would love to have you. Please contact Mark Mueller on the contact tab.

Band

The band consists of a rotating group of musicians who volunteer their gifts in the life of the church. Musicians play at the 9:30am service. We welcome singers and players who value creating in community. We practice in the church sanctuary on Sunday mornings at 8am.

During rehearsals, we go over the list of songs (using chord charts) for the coming Sunday morning and end with a time of fellowship and prayer. Participation in the band is open to all. If you would like to use your musical gifts in the life of this church, you are encouraged to join rehearsals and get plugged in.

Audio/Visual Team

The A/V team is comprised of people from the church community who work behind the scenes on Sunday mornings, and during special church events, to ensure the sound and visuals enhance the worship. The projector slides for Sunday morning use a simple worship program, similar to any kind of Power Point flow. The computer operator is responsible for advancing the slides at the appropriate time. This is a very simple, but crucial component in worship and we welcome any volunteer who would like to learn and serve in this way. Training is provided.

The sound ministry is equally important, and requires more specialized training. Presently we have a handful of rotating sound technicians who assist with microphone set-up and clearing, band or choir rehearsals, and special events. We are always looking for individuals who feel called to this area of service. We provide training on our two systems – River Room or Main sanctuary, and are happy to continue your education until you feel comfortable behind the board.

Worship Ministry Team

This team of people gather together monthly to envision, discern, advise, and pray through the church’s corporate gatherings. We discuss both contemporary and traditional worship services, and any needs that may come up. From music selection, to art, to candles, to worship retreats – we cover a wide range of topics with the goal of drawing the body of Christ together in worship here at CBW. Please contact George Kirk.
