It's a wonderful time to get to know others from around the country who make CBW their church home while in the valley.

On Sunday, July 13 we will bring the entire church family together in one combined worship service at 9:30 AM. The service will be followed with our annual church picnic. We are asking you to bring (A-H) salads/breads, (I-P) side dishes or (Q-Z) desserts enough for your family plus 10 more people. Volunteers for setup and cleanup are greatly appreciated!

Join us at 12:00 PM to enjoy a day of fun and recreation at the valley's favorite getaway for the day on Saturday, June 28. Afternoon devotion is the perfect ending to this church-wide event in the scenic Sawtooths. Water crafts, paddle boards and kayaks are needed for this event.

Want to invest your time and energy into something with a lifelong impact this Summer? It's simple, volunteer for VBS. No special skills are needed. Just a loving heart. If you are interested or just want to know more, join us in the River Room immediately following the morning service on Sunday, June 1, for our VBS '25 Volunteer Kick-off Meeting.

All Ages Fuel Youth (6th-12th grade) group will meet on Sunday evenings from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM at the Church.

Junior High (6th-8th Grade) Grab your friends and join us on Sunday nights for games, Bible study, and plenty of food and snacks. 5:30pm - 7:30pm at the church.

High School (9th-12th Grade) Join us on Sunday nights. We will study the Bible and eat dinner, with plenty of time to hang, play games and serve the community with various mission projects. 5:30pm - 7:30pm at the church.

Environmental Resource Center Clean Sweep

ERC’s annual ‘Clean Sweep’ takes place Saturday, May 3 from 9am-12pm. 

THREE LOCATIONS: 

1. KETCHUM: ERC Office @471 Washington Ave
2. HAILEY: Hop Porter Park
3. BELLEVUE: Memorial Park (under the Pavilion)

Arrive by 9am for bags, gloves and instructions at one of above locations.

Galena Day is Saturday, March 15 from 11am - 2pm.

This event is for all church families, BWS families, and anyone that you’d like to invite. 

Coffee and hot cocoa will be available in the picnic area and we’ll be serving cups of soup from the lodge at 12pm!

This is a come-and-go-as-you-choose event so whether you stay all day or only for an hour or two, we hope that your family will join us for this fun day in the snow and sun.

Join us for the 13th annual Empty Bowls Event on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Blaine County Charitable Fund, Boulder Mountain Clayworks and the Church of the Big Wood are hosting the annual Empty Bowls event February 2 from 11:00 am – 2 pm at the Church of the Big Wood. Proceeds benefit BCCF's financial assistance programs.

Register early and you can purchase a handmade bowl for $25 and fill with generous helpings of soup, chili, salad, bread and dessert from local chefs.  Entry is $30 at the door.

Join Chip Booth, (guitarist in the CofBW praise band) and others members of the band on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month at the Commons for an evening of fun and music as we learn together how to play popular songs, folk music and more. 

Our goal is to help musicians at various levels in their musical journey learn how to play together as a group, focusing on listening, timing and playing parts. All instruments as well as singers are welcome. Participants are encouraged to suggest songs they would like to play.
